Dear Delegates, Faculty Advisors, and HayasMUN Supporters,

It is with great pleasure and pride that I invite you to the sixth iteration of our Model United Nations of Colegio Las Hayas, HayasMUN, to be held from the 8th to the 10th of October. I am beyond excited and delighted to serve as the Secretary-General during this edition of HayasMUN, which has acted as a beacon of innovation, commitment to excellence, and profound engagement in our community. For over eleven months, I will work alongside a highly talented Secretariat who is eager to drive change through purposeful action.

HayasMUN is multifaceted when it comes to its vision: we seek to propel the academic and professional lives of hundreds of students by empowering them with the proper tools, whether it’s diplomacy skills, acute public speaking expertise, trust-founded leadership, or transformative innovation. Throughout every committee and conference room, we foster and promote freedom of speech, productive disagreement, and, foundationally, the flowing exchange of ideas.

HayasMUN is much more than just a hard-fought debate in committee: it’s a vibrant community committed to improving society and the lives of many. This edition, our committee sessions and conferences will revolve around a main theme: globalization. Within the walls of every committee, we will seek to explore the impact that this socially and economically profound and complex process has brought to every aspect of human development. Ranging from security threats to the global order to protection-seeking political and economic reforms, we will cover a myriad of pressing global issues. Delegates, equipped with an intricate skillset, will be tasked with proposing youth-led and holistic solutions. Regardless of your background, interests, and ideology, we encourage and equally challenge you to think critically, enhance your leadership, and promote transformation through your innovative ideas and opinions.

We are eagerly looking forward to welcoming you to our conference in October. Until then, the entire HayasMUN Secretariat spurs you to be a driver of deep change, a prosperity beacon, and an ever-growing person who thrives through setbacks and challenges.
